Lomond, one of the UK’s leading networks of lettings and estate agents, has been included in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for 2026 in the Very Big Organisation category, as well as named one of Great Place to Work UK’s Best Places to Work for Development. This is the third year in a row that the group has been listed by Great Place to work, however 2026 marks the first year Lomond has earned the title in the Development category, of particular note now that the Group counts over 2,500 people on its staff.
It’s also the first time Lomond has been named within the Very Big Organisation category in The Sunday Times Best Places to work list, indicating the company’s impressive growth trajectory, now operating across 8 regions across the UK. Lomond has consistently been recognised by the title as a Best Place to Work in both 2024, and 2025 alongside.
These accreditations recognise companies that are making employee development a vital part of their culture and offer employees the chance to better themselves, learn new skills, and progress within the company.
Lomond understands that a one size fits all approach to development does not work and it actively tailors its support for every employee, discipline and career path within the Group, fostering growth and collaboration in accordance with its WISE values, championing Wisdom, Integrity, Success and Evolution in the sector.
Lomond's inclusion within these prestigious lists acknowledges its ongoing commitment to cultivating a collaborative working environment within which all colleagues can thrive, and consequently provide exemplary service to customers and clients, raising the bar across the sector as a whole. Amongst other compelling benefits and perks, Lomond offers mentoring, expert led masterclasses, a bespoke management development academy, a graduate scheme, and diversity and inclusion programmes that ensure every employee feels valued and empowered.
Ed Phillips, Group Chief Executive of Lomond said:
“The property industry is an incredibly fast-moving environment, and I am immensely proud to be recognised for the focus we have on our people.
Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we believe that investing in them is fundamental to our long-term success. This recognition reflects that we are building a place where people feel supported and valued to progress and grow their careers.”
Clare Wakeford, Chief People Officer of Lomond said:
“These awards both truly reflect the culture we have worked hard to create at Lomond. We strive to ensure people feel supported and empowered to develop in a way that’s meaningful to them.
Alongside the company’s expansion, we are committed to supporting each and every employee throughout their careers; whether that's through training, mentorship, or wellbeing support, our focus is on helping everyone reach their potential.”
With mergers and acquisitions at the core of Lomond, ensuring newly onboarded employees find themselves in an enjoyable and inclusive place to work is key to the effective integration of businesses across geographies. Earlier this year Lomond announced its expansion into new regions with acquisitions of Homesure in Liverpool and Prospect in the Thames Valley region, as well as Clyde across the west of Scotland.
Lomond recently hired James Cosser-Hindle as its Group People Director to help shape and strengthen its people strategy as it continues its rapid growth across the UK.
