In December 2021, Lomond made a major move in the Scottish property market by acquiring DJ Alexander, one of the country’s most established estate and lettings agencies. This acquisition significantly expanded Lomond’s presence in Scotland, bringing its total managed portfolio to over 30,000 properties across the UK. Founded by David Alexander, DJ Alexander had built a strong reputation in Edinburgh and Glasgow, known for its high-quality service and deep local expertise.
Following the acquisition, DJ Alexander continued to operate under its well-known brand name, maintaining its strong market identity. The acquisition was quickly followed by two strategic mergers aimed at further strengthening Lomond’s Scottish footprint and deepening its presence in key Scottish cities. This included the integration of the Edinburgh branch of Fineholm, followed by Stonehouse in 2022 - moves that expanded Lomond’s reach into new areas and cemented its position as the largest lettings and estate agency in Scotland.

In 2024, DJ Alexander also became the first Lomond brand to launch a new website and a dedicated portal for landlords, setting the pace for digital innovation across the group. Enhancing its digital offering and delivering consistent, high-quality service at scale - all while preserving the local expertise and relationships that DJ Alexander is known for.
